Meth-Amphetamine Drug Rehab and Treatment
Epidemic of AIDs has spread across the world and impaired
the human society with intravenous use of drugs and abusive
substances like Meth-amphetamine,
cocaine, heroin etc. The increasing involvement by young
and old in these illicit substances has been the sole cause
for fuelling the death toll in the last few years.
Melded as white, odorless, bitter-tasting crystalline powder,
Meth-amphetamine is leading abusive substance, used by people
to get a transient high. Often called by names such as "ice,"
"crystal meth,"
or "glass, this stimulant drug affects the central
nervous system by mimicking the action of adrenaline and
dopamine. As a result, it increases breathing rate, heart
rate, blood pressure, constrict blood vessels, dilates pupils,
releases sugar, and fat into the blood stream, and energize
the brain.
Feelings of increased alertness, angers or fear, or agitation
(flight or fight) and feelings of well being, riding high,
exhilaration or euphoria result from using amphetamines.
Intake of excess Meth-amphetamine generates feelings of
panic, obsession, delirium, rage, convulsions, and stroke.
There are a few accepted medical reasons for its use, such
as the treatment of narcolepsy, attention deficit disorder,
and short-term obesity, however, the binge and crash use
of Meth-amphetamine causes false feelings of well-being,
duly ignoring other survival feelings resulting in a lack
of concern for, and confidence in other areas of life.
